Named scholarships & funds

When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.

For this reason, The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.

Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.

If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Costa, Mariagrace Youth Outreach Fund at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall

The Mariagrace Costa Youth Outreach Fund at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall was established by Mariagrace Costa, class of 2000 and 2002, to provide funds so that all schoolchildren have equal access to the diverse cultural offerings and performances at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall. Maria Costa has great memories of attending performances at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall as a student. This fund will ensure that all school-age children and teenagers, regardless of economic circumstances, have the same opportunities. Proceeds from this fund will be used to purchase tickets to productions at the Hall for students and their parents, teachers, or mentors. Proceeds may also be used for related student outreach activities. Use of the funds will be determined by the executive director of E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall.
