Named scholarships & funds

When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.

For this reason, The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.

Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.

If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

S.T.R.I.V.E. Scholarship

The Success Through Resilience, Initiative, Values, and Endurance (S.T.R.I.V.E.) Scholarship was established in 2013 by College of Business Administration Honors ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. Amber Kern, Jordan Pana, and Liz Weber had the desire to help fellow students who, because of financial difficulties, are unable to finish their degrees. The founding students wish to support the efforts of other hardworking students toward degree completion just as they had been supported by others throughout their educational career.

The donated funds for the S.T.R.I.V.E Scholarship will offer assistance to deserving students enrolled at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ College of Business Administration and majoring in business. The recipients must demonstrate persistence toward completing their degrees and financial need for the scholarship. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ who have completed 100 credit hours or more and have a minimum GPA of 2.8 are eligible to apply.

The College of Business Administration Scholarship Selection Committee will select recipients. The Committee will consider several factors, such as financial need, credit hours completed, and GPA, with consideration given to each student’s individual situation.
