Named scholarships & funds

When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.

For this reason, The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.

Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.

If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

College of Engineering and Polymer Science Student Assistance Fund

The College of Engineering and Polymer Science Student Assistance Fund was originally established as The College of Engineering Student Assistance Fund in 2020 in recognition of The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's 150th Sesquicentennial Anniversary to support engineering students. It was created at the request of Dr. Craig C. Menzemer, current dean of the College, and other College leaders, who recognized a growing need to financially support engineering students facing economic hardships. Alumni and friends of the College provided funding to offer encouragement and inspiration to students working diligently to become engineers. The College of Engineering and Polymer Science Student Assistance Fund was endowed in 2022 thanks to the generosity of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumnus, Larry Allen '70, and his wife, Susan. The fund's name was changed to reflect the new name of the College.
