When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Vukovich, Dr. Diane and Dr. Thomas J. Endowed Scholarship in Education
The Dr. Diane and Dr. Thomas J. Vukovich Endowed Scholarship in Education was created in 2007 and revised in 2016. Diane received her doctorate from The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, where she served as director of developmental programs. Tom served the University as associate provost for student and enrollment services. The couple are longtime supporters of many programs at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and active in the Association of The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Retirees. Both are members of Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society, and Tom was the recipient of the society’s Meritorious Service Certificate and Distinguished Service Key in 2002. In addition, Diane and Tom served as co-chairs of the 2000-10 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Family Campaign.
The Dr. Diane and Dr. Thomas J. Vukovich Endowed Scholarship in Education will be awarded to an undergraduate student in the LeBron James Family Foundation College of Education who plans to teach math or science. The recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0. The scholarship is renewable. Award recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee in the LeBron James Family Foundation College of Education in conjunction with the Office of Student Financial Aid.
