When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.

For this reason, The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.

Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.

If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Canton Mansfield Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association Endowed Scholarship in Construction Engineering Technology

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Canton Mansfield Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association Endowed Scholarship in Construction Engineering Technology was established by the Roofers and Sheet Metal Contractors Association in April 1991 with a gift of $10,000. The scholarship criteria was revised in May 2019, and shall be available for future construction professionals who have an interest in having a positive influence in the construction industry.

To be considered eligible, applicants must be enrolled in at least the second year of a two- or four-year construction engineering technology or construction field operations degree at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, and have an interest in working in the construction industry after graduation. Candidates shall have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average and be a U.S. Citizen residing in Ohio. First consideration will be given to students who are children or stepchildren of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Area Construction Industry Association members.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Association from a list of qualified applicants provided by The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. The Department of Development will request applications from the Office of Student Financial Aid and the College of Applied Science and Technology. The Association may request letters of professional reference and/or a personal interview as part of their review process.
