When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.

For this reason, The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of UA alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.

Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.

If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Trecaso, Ralph E. Endowed Scholarship in Accounting

The Ralph E. Trecaso Endowed Scholarship in Accounting was established in November 2024 to offer financial support to students at The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's College of Business George W. Daverio School of Accountancy.

A native of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Ohio, and a graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, Ralph E. Trecaso received his B.S. in Accounting from The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ in 1983 and currently serves as co­founder, managing director, and family wealth advisor for Wells Trecaso Financial Group. Before co-founding Wells Trecaso, Ralph was a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley and UBS/Pain Webber. With more than 32 years of experience in the financial service industry, Ralph has helped his clients implement sound wealth management strategies and comprehensive financial planning.

An active community volunteer and supporter, Ralph is a member of The Bluecoats and the Northern Ohio Italian Association and former chair of the executive board of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. He is also a current member and past president of the Italian American Professional & Businessman's Club, where he serves as co-chair of the annual Viva La Panza Fundraising and networking event.

The Ralph E. Trecaso Endowed Scholarship in Accounting shall be awarded annually, as funds are available, to deserving full- or part-time ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students pursuing a degree in the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy. Candidates eligible for consideration shall have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and be entering their sophomore year. Recipients will be selected by the University Scholarship Committee in the Office of Student Financial Aid.

The scholarship's intent is to help with the cost of tuition and fees for students pursuing a career in accounting.

The Ralph E. Trecaso Endowed Scholarship in Accounting was established as part of We Rise Together, the Campaign for The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.
