- Candidates are welcome to apply for The AmTrust Scholarship in Insurance from any ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ college, including students with a declared undergraduate major in finance, risk management, economics, statistics (actuarial science), accounting, business analytics, management information systems and other related disciplines or other courses of study that reflect aspects of the insurance industry’s core functional needs.
- Candidates should be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors with a 2.8 GPA or higher.
- Equal preference is given to students of all ages so that returning adults and career changing adults have an opportunity to access AmTrust Scholarship distributions.
- All ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ colleges
as well as the Office of Student Financial Aid will receive notice of The AmTrust Scholarship in Insurance for promotion to prospective candidates. - Applications must be submitted to The College of Business Administration’s Scholarship Committee by May 15 with confirmation of GPA standing.
- Application requirements also include a paragraph of 500 words or less stating why a student has chosen their course of study, with
affirmation that they are, without obligation, willing to meet representatives from AmTrust to learn more about the company. - The College of Business Administration’s scholarship committee will choose recipients who best fit the intentions of AmTrust from among the applicants regardless of major (and university college affiliation).
- The scholarship can be renewed in whole or in part for one successive year, which will require a new application as set forth above. Renewal decisions will be determined by the scholarship committee.
- The maximum amount of a scholarship distribution in any year is $2,500 per student. Scholarship distributions will be applied directly to the recipient’s student account for tuition and fees, and be subject to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ policies on scholarships.
